Funding: Education

The Webb Family Foundation has been funding education since 2004. We have believed that our Foundation can have the most impact by encouraging young people, who have encountered significant obstacles, to dream big and achieve more than they ever thought possible. In 2022, we expanded our programmatic goals and priority areas as follows.

Applications are by invitation only. We do not accept unsolicited requests.

OUR GOAL

The Webb Family Foundation works to improve life outcomes for young people through education. We aspire that all young people, regardless of their neighborhood or circumstances, receive the opportunities and support they need to succeed in school and in life.

We support young self-starters, particularly those who are furthest from opportunity, through innovative, creative, and research-proven ways of learning and living. Motivated students gain the resources, tools, and mentorship they need to become lifelong achievers who are inspired to give back and pay it forward to the next generation.

OUR PRIORITIES

Priority 1

The Webb Family Foundation and KIPP Foundation have partnered to create the Webb Scholars Program. This new national scholars’ program will be awarded annually to up to six KIPP students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to community impact. The scholarship will provide financial support to defray the costs of college with an annual stipend of $15,000, up to $60,000 for four years; career mentorship; attendance to an annual leadership weekend; and the opportunity to take part in a community impact project in their community. The first cohort of scholars joined the program in May 2023.

Priority 2

Middle- and high-school age students in the Bay Area and Florida gain academic support, character-development, college access and preparedness, and additional programming to spark and bolster their success.

"We would like to see every individual, regardless of circumstances, have an opportunity to reach their potential."
